I love using facial sprays/mists. There is something so refreshing and almost luxurious about them. Here are a few of my favorites:
Caudalie Beauty Elixir – I loved using this. It was recommended by some friends at work last year and they informed me that Victoria Beckham uses it. Sold! It is full of essential oils and helps with radiance and smooths the skin.
Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray – This can be used at any time of the day to refresh and soften the skin. I use it in the morning before applying my makeup. I also like to use it again after applying foundation to give it a softer look. It loads your skin up with vitamins and helps calm down redness.
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water - I seriously cannot get enough of this. It is so soothing and refreshing. I am about to order my second can of it. It is natural spring water with a concentrated amount of Selenium. It has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This is perfect for the skin after too much sun as well.
MAC Fix+ - This has so many uses. You can spray it on the skin before or after makeup. It also is amazing to spritz on brushes to make pigment stand out more. It is full of vitamins and minerals and has a fantastic scent.
I had the pleasure of doing makeup for 7 lovely ladies for a wedding on May 31st. The hair was done by Erin O’Connor and she did such a beautiful job. Thank you to the beautiful bride, Jessica, and all of the awesome ladies for letting me spend this special day with you!

I was playing around with a glossy lid look today. It is a mixture of MUFE Aqua Black, Buxom eyeliner, OCC Lip Tar in Black Dahlia and Smashbox lipgloss. I used my fingers mostly to apply everything and the mascara is Diorshow. Lips are Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss in Walk of Shame. I also used Boscia BB Cream, a Sephora Collection matte brown eyeshadow (for contour), MUFE HD cream blush, and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. Brows are Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette.
I have been wearing Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12 HR Full Coverage Foundation (shade Ivory) for the last few days. I have really liked it! I do not know why it took me this long to try it. The fun thing about Tarte as a brand is that the products are cruelty-free and not loaded with a lot of the junk we don’t want in our makeup. It is free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, mineral oil etc. It has SPF 15, which I surprisingly did not notice since I usually do not like SPF in my skin care and makeup (crazy, I know).
Other Products used:
- Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray ( I have been loving this! It’s the first thing I use on my face after I cleanse, and then periodically throughout the day to refresh my makeup)
- Benefit Porefessional
- MUFE Full Cover Concealer #3
- Shadows are all from Smashbox Full Exposure Palette
- Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black
- Bare Minerals Stroke of Light in Luminous 1 (I have been using this as a highlight under eyes, on nose, cupid’s bow, in between brows etc)
- Red Cherry Lashes #43
- Urban Decay Lip Liner in 69
- Stila Liquid Lipstick in Beso
- Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette

In my never ending hunt to find the holy grail of mascaras, I have come across a new favorite. I just finished my first tube of Diorshow Black Out mascara and it has climbed the charts to be my current favorite mascara. It makes my lashes look huge. Something about the formula makes it feel like I am actually getting more product on my lashes as opposed to other formulas. I am loving it and it might just be a repeat purchase.
