Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil
This one has been a long time coming. Oh, I do love oils. That might sound silly, but I do. My favorite thing to moisturize my face and body with is a good hydrating oil. I have been wanting to try this product for a really long time and I knew I would love it. I am not sure if I can ever give up my Josie Maran Argan Oil, but I do like to alternate between the two to hydrate my skin. It makes my skin feel super silky, hydrated and happy.
Here are the details:
- Formulated with a blend of seaberry, cranberry seed, camellia seed, grapeseed, and sweet almond oils
- Omegas help the skin appear more youthful
- Vitamin E helps with elasticity and keeps the skin soft
- Contains NO parabens, sulfates, or phthalates
I was playing around with a sparkly and smokey makeup look and this is what I came up with.
- Dr. Jart Black Label Detox Beauty Balm
- Korres Luminous Finish Blush in 18 Peach
- Sephora Collection Bronzer in Aruba
- Stila Kitten Eyeshadow as a cheek highlight (LOVE this for a highlighter on the face)
- Eyeshadows: Used a Smashbox dark brown shadow as a base. Makeup Geek- mixed Cocoa Bear + Bitten on the lid, Last Dance buffed out in the lower lashline. Sephora Collection Bronzer in Aruba in the crease, Urban Decay Moondust in Space Cowboy.
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue
- MUFE HD Microfinish Powder
- MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NW20
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette
- MUFE Aqua Brow in #30
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
- Dior Blackout mascara
- Eye Luv Me lashes in Taylor (I love the texture and look of these! 100% human hair lashes)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion for waterline
- Kat Von D Ink Liner
- Nars lipgloss in Belize
I was playing around with lighting (basically blinding myself with 2 massive lights inches from my face haha) and editing for these next few, just for fun.
After having to turn down some pretty amazing makeup job opportunites in Vermont recently, I realized I probably should post a little update on here. I am currently helping my family out in Virginia Beach. My dad has had three strokes since September, totaling 5 strokes in the last 11 years or so. He is currently in a rehab facility and will be moving back home January 22. My mom, sister and I will be doing our best to take care of him with the help of some home health care. I will be here helping as much as I can over the next few months while my husband holds down the fort in Vermont. I do have visits planned to Vermont but my schedule is not reliable enough currently to take any jobs. I am sorry to those who have inquired about weddings, etc. I do plan on doing some projects with friends here and will try to keep my blog updated as much as possible. xo
I picked up some French skincare while I was in Belgium recently. I have been interested in the brand Nuxe for a while and was so excited to finally try it. I bought a box set and here are two of my favorite products inside. More info about Nuxe can be found HERE.

Crème Prodigieuse – I really like this facial moisturizer. I prefer it for daytime because it soaks quickly into the skin and is non-greasy. It is packed with antioxidants and gives radiance to the skin. Love!
Huile Prodigieuse – This dry oil can be used on your face, body or hair. I absolutely love it. It leaves my skin so soft and hydrated without feeling greasy. It has a lovely scent as well. It is formulated out of six precious plant oils (Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borrage,Almond, Camellia and St. John’s Wort). I read somewhere long ago that Dita Von Teese uses this oil. It has been on my wish list ever since. If Dita approves, I do too. Come to find out, it is an amazing product that I would purchase again.
The other day, I was browsing around Cosmoprof after picking up color for my roots (I don’t want to talk about what is going on up there!) and I feel like I stumbled upon the holy grail of nail polishes. I have used a pretty wide range of nail polish brands over the years but have never even heard of this one. I saw a beautiful rose gold color that caught my attention and decided to give it a shot. After I wore it for one or two days, I was already sending pictures of my nails to girlfriends and saying how amazing it was. Yes, the color was beautiful. Yes, the formula was easy to work with. Yes, the price was right. Those are all great and valid reasons to like a nail polish, but none are why this particular one warranted a lengthy blog post. IT TOOK SIX DAYS TO FINALLY CHIP. SIX. I only used two coats WITHOUT a top coat of any kind. What kind of sorcery is this?! Needless to say, I will be collecting many more colors of this nail polish in the future.
It is formulated without Formaldehyde, Toluene, and DBP. You can check out the company here: Morgan Taylor

I totally skipped November, OOPS! I have had a lot going on. Here are my obsessions from this past month.
Nars Lipstick in Heat Wave – I have wanted this lipstick for so long! When I left Sephora, all the lovely ladies surprised me with a gift card and this was the first thing I purchased. My friend, Gracie, describes it perfectly: Ferrari red. It is definitely an orange-based red and very long wearing. Love!
Bare Minerals 5 In 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow – I have been using this as a primer/ base for my eyeshadow. It works great to even out my skin tone on my eyelids as well as helping eyeshadow to last all day. I have also worn it just with liquid liner and mascara for a clean and simple look.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light – Oh, hello beautiful. This is a gorgeous highlighter! It gives you such a natural glow. It is a little pricey but there is quite a lot of product in the compact.
Urban Decay Space Cowboy – This eyeshadow was such a staff favorite while working at Sephora. It has beautifully fine glitter and looks amazing on its own or on top of any other eyeshadow. It is now a staple in my collection.
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Midnight Cowboy – If I could be in love with a glitter, this would be the one! It is great as liner or all over the lid for a fun statement.
Sephora Collection Glitter Liner/Mascara in Bewitched Black - This is a more affordable glitter liner. I wore this for my New Years Eve look and loved it.
